Community Transport
We provide Community Transport to members of the community.
We understand transport is a big need in our community and we aim to offer community transport where we can.
Please note we do not run as a taxi service and this service is run and operated by our wonderful and dedicated volunteers.
We have two vehicles;
- ‘Dorset Rover’ Bus (Seats 11 Passengers)
- Mitsubishi ASX (Seats 4 Passengers)
Note – all bookings are tentative until confirmed on the Thursday the week before. Bookings made with less than a week’s notice are subject to availability. Medical appointments are prioritized.
On occasion, vehicles may be hired by a community group or organisation with their own drivers at the digression of the House Manager. Fees will be the same as our transport service and per person in the vehicle.
Service is Available from Monday – Friday for appointments 8am – 2pm. (Unavailable Weekends or Early/Late in the day)

Terms and Conditions:
Fees are per person and return trips. Carers are transported free unless they also have an appointment.
A fee will be imposed for transport cancellations not communicated to the driver.
No food or drinks are to be consumed in vehicles. Dorset Community House vehicles are smoke and vape-free vehicles.
