Dorset Suicide Prevention Network
The Dorset Suicide Prevention Network is a community led group of local residents and health service providers supporting the Dorset region in the area of Mental Health Well-being and Suicide Prevention. We hope to raise awareness around the contributing factors that can lead to suicide, enable people to be confident in taking action where needed and building a well informed and connected community.
The Dorset Suicide Prevention Network:
- provides information about services
- enables training for community members to support each other
- works to reduce stigma and break down barriers
…so that people are more confident in reaching out on behalf of those around them or themselves.
The Dorset Suicide Prevention Network is not a crisis service.
If urgent support needed, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Standby (Support after suicide) on 0400 183 490. Other services are listed in our Dorset Community & Health directory here.
The DSPN is just one of many suicide prevention networks under the banner of the Wesley Mission Organisation. Wesley LifeForce Suicide Prevention Workshops are available to community members from time to time please visit https://www.wesleymission.org.au/ for more details.
