Dorset Suicide Prevention Network

Dorset Suicide Prevention Network

The Dorset Suicide Prevention Network is a community led group of local  residents and health service providers supporting the Dorset region in the area of Mental Health Well-being and Suicide Prevention.  We hope to raise awareness around the contributing factors that can lead to suicide, enable people to be confident in taking action where needed and building a well informed and connected community.

The Dorset Suicide Prevention Network:

  • provides information about services
  • enables training for community members to support each other
  • works to reduce stigma and break down barriers
  • …so that people are more confident in reaching out on behalf of those around them or themselves. The Dorset Suicide Prevention Network is not a crisis service. If urgent support needed, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Standby (Support after suicide) on 0400 183 490. Other services are listed in our Dorset Community & Health directory here.
